A day of events are planned across Liverpool in support of Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on Monday 20th November .

TDoR is an annual event remembering those who have been killed or have taken their own lives due to transphobic violence or discrimination. This number is annually in the hundreds and last year the list included 295 names.

In solidarity with TDoR, venues across the city will light the skyline with the pink, blue and white colours of the transgender flag. The Museum of Liverpool will also be hosting a moment’s silence and short wreath laying service at 2pm. Followed by Liverpool Town Hall hosting their 4th annual transgender flag raising event at 4pm.

At 6pm the annual  Transgender Day of Remembrance vigil will be held at Exchange Station, Tithebarn Street. The event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. However, parents are advised that, due to this being a memorial event, some content may be unsuitable for young children.
