NHS South Sefton CCG & NHS Southport and Formby CCG are asking people to choose the name for their new service for trans/gender non-conforming people.
To do so, please click here.
They are also asking, when choosing the name, to please consider the following:
- Who is the service for? The CCG have agreed that the service should be for both adults and younger people.
- What is the main purpose? The service will be led by a local GP and the main function of the service will be to refer patients to regional services & prescribe and administer drugs for patients following discharge. The service will also provide access to a local endocrinologist for bridging hormones. Access to Speech & Language Therapy, hair removal services & Local Psychological Services will also be offered if appropriate. The service will also offer signposting for support, including Trans Support Service, In-Trust, and other user groups. The GP will also offer support and training to fellow GPs.
- The name of the service will need to be recognisable to patients (adults & younger people) and referrers.
They are asking for responses by Wednesday 15th August. So there’s no time to lose!
