Name That Service!

NHS South Sefton CCG & NHS Southport and Formby CCG are asking people to choose the name for their new service for trans/gender non-conforming people.

To do so, please click here.

They are also asking, when choosing the name, to please consider the following:

  1. Who is the service for? The CCG have agreed that the service should be for both adults and younger people.
  2. What is the main purpose? The service will be led by a local GP and the main function of the service will be to refer patients to regional services & prescribe and administer drugs for patients following discharge. The service will also provide access to a local endocrinologist for bridging hormones. Access to Speech & Language Therapy, hair removal services & Local Psychological Services will also be offered if appropriate. The service will also offer signposting for support, including Trans Support Service, In-Trust, and other user groups. The GP will also offer support and training to fellow GPs.
  3. The name of the service will need to be recognisable to patients (adults & younger people) and referrers.

They are asking for responses by Wednesday 15th August. So there’s no time to lose!
