In-Trust are proud to announce details for the upcoming Trans Health Merseyside Wellbeing, and Hate Crime sessions organised in partnership with Sahir House.
Trans Health Merseyside provides peer mentoring and health information by those, and for those, who identify as transsexual, transgender, intersex or gender non-conforming.
The upcoming dates are:
Tuesday 21st February
Trans Health Merseyside will have speakers from North Liverpool Citizens Advice Bureau and Mainstream Vocational Service to look at ensuring the group attendees understand their full benefit entitlement and are included in access to work, education or training programmes. Mainstream Vocational Service provides 1-2-1 support for people who have experienced episodes of mental health to assist them back into the workplace/training/education.
Tuesday 21st March
Trans Health Merseyside will host Hannah Saxe from Irwin Mitchell solicitors. She will provide information about what changes happen legally once you receive you Gender Reassignment certificate (e.g. changes to your marriage or civil partnership, inheritance law, etc).
Tuesday 18th April
The April Wellbeing session will host Pat Dahill, Job Centre Manager, who will be speaking on “How to make your Job Centre work for you”. She will address looking at sector based work academies, apprenticeships, work experience, and work trials.
Transcend is the ongoing facilitated support group which provides a safe supported space to explore issues of being affected by Hate Crime, and being supported through the process of reporting Hate Crime. The next Transcend dates are Tuesday 7th March and Tuesday 4th April.
