Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service Looking For Volunteers

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service attends a range of events throughout the year to engage with members of the community (i.e. church and school fairs, school assemblies, charity events and community fun days) to raise awareness about home fire safety and to provide healthy living advice.

Volunteers would be helping with a wide range of activities including:

  • Assisting with Safe and Well visits and community reassurance campaigns
  • Delivery of safety presentations in primary and secondary schools including seasonal presentations (i.e. firework safety, grass fire prevention in summer months)
  • Participating in leaflet drops and providing safety information
  • Signposting members of the community to partner agencies

This is a prime opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, give something back to the community, or enhance your CV!

If anyone is interested in becoming a volunteer they can contact Jen Taylor at jenniferTaylor@merseyfire.gov.uk for more information or downloading an expression of interest form by clicking here.
